My goal is to help you understand the relationship between food and mood, to help you improve your eating habits,  to work on your mindset, to reduce stress and to create the confidence you need to up level your life so you can forget about depression and live your life to the fullest.

I'm Laura.

Before we start let me tell you that I am not your typical Health Coach.

  • I am a beer and food lover.

  • I am a huge Star Wars fan.

  • I hate having my own photos taken, but I ABSOLUTELY LOVE photography to bits.

  • I cannot stand fake people, fake pictures, fake Instagram feed. All my pics and comments come from the real me. (that's why you wont see a perfect pose on any of my photos)

  • I love System of a Down and the Sonatas and Partitas of Johan Sebastian Bach EQUALLY.

  • I adore Disney and Pixar movies.

  • I am 33 and cannot watch scary movies. They really scare the s&*@ out of me.

  • I am a shy, introverted person who hates crowded spaces, social events and interactions.

  • I am an empath type of person who strongly feels the pain of others and absorb the energy of the people around me too.

  • I am a perfectionist, over-thinker, over-achiever who tends to procrastinate some times to avoid taking ownership of my own life.

As a result of living a life in autopilot mode, not taking responsibility of my actions and blaming others for the results in my life (parents and previous sentimental partner), I suffered from depression for many years and had a mental breakdown in 2018 that led me to spend a couple of days in a hospital and taking anti-depressant medication for over one year.

I was never truly honest with myself. I neglected the parts of me who wanted to live a simple life in the service of others. I did follow my heart though. I joined Emirates airline and I travelled the world which gave me the opportunity to make some dreams come true.  However, I was never happy. I always thought happiness was outside of me, in a job, a person, a place so when I was living my dream job, I never enjoyed  it because I was just not connected with myself.

In addition, I was having so many digestive issues that were keeping me sick often. I was tired, overwhelmed and unhappy day in and day out.

While trying to get my life together and trying to find out what I really wanted to do with it, I started a healing process by taking care of my eating habits. I knew I had to change the way I was eating because I couldn't deal with my digestive issues anymore.

I was diagnosed with Lactose intolerance and Fructose malabsorption which explained why I was having digestive problems. I started to look for information online and I found the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.

I read all the brochures and enrolled in less than two days after having found it. This course not only taught me about Nutrition, but also how to be a coach (something I had no idea it existed).

I put into practice all the coaching recommendations and strategies for myself and I started to follow some elimination diets until I found the low FODmap diet, which was a perfect fit for me and my digestive issues.

After graduating from IIN, I felt like a whole new person. I started to take care of myself, all parts of me. I became aware of the limiting beliefs that were holding me back and sabotaging me to achieve more in life. I changed the inner dialogue I was having with myself daily and I started to be more kind and compassionate with myself.

I learnt so much about self healing. I did heal myself and the broken relationship I had with my past. I forgave myself and the people who hurt me and I began to live a new life. With some food changes and self-coaching I no longer need to take medication for my digestive issues or antidepressants. WOOHOOO!!!! I'm so proud of that.

During this process I realized I wanted to help others who were having issues similar to mine and that single realization gave meaning to everything else.
